The Spirit of Truth (2)

“The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.” John 14v17 (AMP)

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth also guides us into all truth, and shows us things to come. Many times believers, as with all people, are faced with decisions that need to be made, and you wonder, what is the best way to go about this? What is the right answer? What is the right path for me to take? We know from the scriptures that “There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death” (Proverbs 16v25, AMP). But we thank God because He has given us a Guide to lead and direct us. Romans 8v14 (KJV) says “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Moreover John 16v13 (AMP) says “But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].” The Living Bible says “When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting His own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future” (John 16v13). Are you in need of direction today? Do you need to know what step to take? Rely on the Spirit of Truth this day, and let Him guide you into all truth.

Prayer

Our heavenly Father, we thank You so much for Your Word to us this day. Thank You for Your Spirit of Truth who is with us and in us. Holy Spirit, we ask for divine direction concerning our lives, that You will show us and guide us into what we need to do in Jesus name, amen. I desire to walk closer with You than ever before. Help me to be intimate with You O Lord, that I may know Your ways and walk with You. All this I pray in Jesus name, amen.
