God of miracles

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for yet another week that He has brought us to. We thank Him for food to eat, clothes and shoes to wear, a roof over our heads, various modes of communication, the breath of life, hope for tomorrow, friends, families, loved ones, and the salvation of our souls.

Primary Text
“To another the working of miracles; …” 1 Corinthians 12v10 (KJV)

Our God is a wonder-working God. Psalm 145v3-5 (KJV) says “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty works. And men shall speak of the might of Thy terrible acts: and I will declare Thy greatness.” Hallelujah. A miracle can be synonymous to a wonder, and a marvel. It is something that when it occurs, people begin to speak and marvel and give praises to God3. This is because a miracle usually reverses, contradicts, or annuls physical and natural laws. For example, the law of gravity – our Lord Jesus walked on water, and even ascended up to heaven in plain sight of those who were watching. The law of gravity was defied! There is a natural law that enables a body of water to be continuous in its flow. But our God was able to part both the Red Sea and River Jordan for His children. He is Lord over everything, and the Lord of lords, the Master of the universe and thus the One who must be obeyed. And He has not stopped performing miracles. What He did yesterday, He can do today and forevermore, because “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13v8, KJV).

Supplementary Text
“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the pre-eminence.” Colossians 1v15-18 (KJV)

Prayer
