Healing (2)

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;” 1 Corinthians 12v9 (KJV)

“To another [wonder-working] faith by the same [Holy] Spirit, to another the extraordinary powers of healing by the one Spirit;” 1 Corinthians 12v9 (AMP)

When our Lord Jesus was on earth, He healed all manner of sickness and disease. Matthew 4v24 (NIV) says “News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and He healed them.” Matthew 8v16 (NIV) tells us “When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.” Matthew 9v35 (NIV) says “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” Jesus healed all and every disease and sickness. And we know “For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment” (Luke 1v37, AMP).  And yet, the Lord Jesus said something before He left: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father” (John 14v12, KJV). The works Jesus did, the healings He performed, we can do even greater. Hallelujah. Thank God for the empowerment that has been given to us by the Holy Spirit (Acts 1v8, Acts 10v38).

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16v17-18 (KJV)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You so much for Your Word and compassion. We thank You for Your healing power. We pray for the grace to step out in faith and be used as instruments for Your glory even in the area of healing in Jesus name, amen.
