A Home for the Word

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. A happy Sunday to you.

Primary Text
“Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness…

Imagine your heart being a home and the Word of God as a person. In this “home”, is the Word of God someone you see on special occasions like Christmas and Easter, or perhaps once a week, in church on Sunday. Is the Word of God always welcome in your home or is it shown its way out when things are not desirable for example in times of difficulty or when some other guests come knocking. Is the Word of God the friend of a friend who only comes with your friend and leaves afterwards? Beloved, in this year, let the Word of God dwell and abide and be welcome in your hearts and minds. Let Christ be alive in you always for He is the Word (John 1v1). The Lord told Joshua “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1v8, KJV). Child of God, what plans do you have to be filled with the Word? Are you learning and memorizing scriptures? Do you have a set time to read the Word? Do you have a devotional or daily guide you might use?

Supplementary Text
“I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing…. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.” John 15v5&7 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You. We pray for extraordinary grace to remain in You and let Your words abide in us, to study, and meditate on Your Word in Jesus name, amen.
