More hours … Longer life

Primary Text

“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.” Proverbs 10v27 (KJV)

“Reverence for God adds hours to each day; so how can the wicked expect a long, good life?” Proverbs 10v27 (TLB)

The fear of God prolongs lives! Praise the Lord. Following God and His ways, walking in the fear of Him, gives long life. The same cannot be said for those who do not follow God. Psalm 37v7 – 11 (TLB) says “Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him to act. Don’t be envious of evil men who prosper. Stop your anger! Turn off your wrath. Don’t fret and worry – it only leads to harm. For the wicked shall be destroyed, but those who trust the Lord shall be given every blessing. Only a little while and the wicked shall disappear. You will look for them in vain. But all who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.” Amen. The fear of God leads a man to depart from evil. We see around us things that befall both young and old, poor and rich who do not fear God – broken homes, relationships, lack of peace and joy, some end up in prison … However:

Prayer

Father, I thank You so much for Your goodness. Thank You because of the blessings that come from walking in the fear of You. Thank You for life. Thank You for happiness. Thank You for protection from every harm. How we appreciate You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
