Don’t judge before the time

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for another Sunday, for His mercies, grace and love toward us.

Primary Text
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come …” 1 Corinthians 4v5 (KJV)
“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord come….” 1 Corinthians 4v5 (NIV)
“So do not make any hasty or premature judgments before the time when the Lord comes [again], …” 1 Corinthians 4v5  (AMP)
“So don’t get ahead of the Master and jump to conclusions with your judgments before all the evidence is in….” 1 Corinthians 4v5 (MSG)

Here, the apostle Paul after haven said in the previous verse that “It is the Lord [Himself] Who examines and judges me” now says, “So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time – before the Lord returns…” 1 Corinthians 4v5 (NLT). There is someone I know who will say that there will be a lot of surprises in heaven. Because, some who man may judge to definitely be heaven bound, might not actually be, and those who man may judge not to be, will be. It is the Lord who is judge, He is the One who sees the hearts of all and knows what is really going on. We may be able to deceive others, but not God. You may not know the whole story or how things will end, so don’t judge your fellow brethren. Romans 14v4 & 7-10 (AMP) says “Who are you to pass judgment on and censure another’s household servant? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he shall stand be upheld, for the Master (the Lord) is mighty to support him and make him stand… None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for] If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or we die, we belong to the Lord. For Christ died and lived again for this very purpose, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. Why do you criticize and pass judgment on brother? Or you, why do you look down upon or despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.” The Word here tells us that the Lord is mighty to make His servants stand (see Jude 1v24).

Supplementary Text
“Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will cause another believer to stumble and fall.” Romans 14v12-13 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We ask for forgiveness in anyway we have been judging our brethren and pray that You will grant us the grace to not criticize and pass judgment on our brothers and sisters in the Lord, but to follow things which make for edification. This we pray in Jesus mighty name with thanksgiving, amen.
