God given

“… What do you have that God hasn’t given you? …” 1 Corinthians 4v7 (NLT)

“… What have you that was not given to you? ...” 1 Corinthians 4v7 (AMP)

“… Isn’t everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God? …” 1 Corinthians 4v7 (MSG)

Beloved, what do you have that God has not given to you? Seriously. If God turns His face away from you or takes the breath of life from who, where would you be? The gifts, and talents, you are endowed with, who gave them to you? John 3v24-26 (AMP) says “Therefore there arose a controversy between some of John’s disciples and a Jew in regard to purification. So they came to John and reported to him, Rabbi, the Man Who was with you on the other side of the Jordan [at the Jordan crossing] – and to Whom you yourself have borne testimony – notice, here He is baptizing too, and everybody is flocking to Him! John answered, A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can take unto himself nothing] except as it has been granted to him from heaven. [A man must be content to receive the gift which is given him from heaven; there is no other source.]” Psalm 24v1 (NIV) tells us “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;” And the apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15v10 (KJV) that “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” Thank God for everything He has provided for us and who He has made us to be.

“In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.” Romans 6v6-8 (NLT)

Our heavenly Father, we thank You so much for all that You have made us to be. We pray that You alone will be glorified in and through us in Jesus name, amen.
