All are yours
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Therefore
let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or
Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come;
all are yours;” (1 Corinthians 3v21-22).
The
Dakes concordance makes this commentary on “all are yours” saying “The idea
here is that God will cause all things to work together for good to them who
love Him, whether they be the world system, life or death, providence now and
hereafter, or any other things (Rom 8v28). In both verses 22 and 23 this idea
is reiterated. The message says “I don’t want to hear any of you bragging about
yourself or anyone else. Everything is already yours as a gift -” 1 Corinthians
3v21 (MSG). God has given us so much already. I don’t know if you have ever
looked back on your life and just had every cause to thank God for everything –
life, people, work, experiences some great, some not so pleasant, and yet you
could say, Father, thank You for Your grace, and for letting everything work
out for my good. Psalm 32v8-9 (NLT) tells us “The LORD says, “I will guide you
along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do
not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it
under control.”” And Ephesians
2v10 (AMP) says “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated
in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God
predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead
of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He
prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
Supplementary Text
“We
are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work
together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God
and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” Romans 8v28 (AMP)
Prayer
Father
God, we thank You so much for Your Word. We thank You for blessing us with every
spiritual blessing in heavenly places. We thank You for making all things work
together for our good because we love You and are called according to Your
purpose. We thank You for all Your benefits. Thank You for forgiving our
iniquities, healing all our diseases, redeeming our life from destruction,
crowning us with Your lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfying our mouth
with good things that our youth is renewed like an eagle. Thank You so so so so
much our heavenly Father, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
