Patiently enduring persecution

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And we still toil unto weariness [for our living], working hard with our own hands. When men revile us [wound us with an accursed sting], we bless them. When we are persecuted, we take it patiently and endure it.” 1 Corinthians 4v12 (AMP)

The apostle Paul says here that when they are persecuted, they take it patiently and endure it. Beloved, may we by God’s grace do the same in Jesus name, amen. In fact, from Matthew 5v10-12 (please see below), we find that if we are persecuted for righteousness sake, ours is the kingdom of heaven, and that when men revile us, persecute us and say false things on the Lord’s account, we are blessed and in fact have a reward in heaven. In Matthew 5v43-45 (KJV) the Lord said “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Supplementary Text
“Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven! Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous – with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account. Be glad and supremely joyful, for your reward in heaven is great (strong and intense), for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5v10-12 (AMP)

Prayer
ð Think of someone/people who are persecuting you for righteousness sake and saying all manner of false things against you for the Lord’s sake and say a prayer for them. Pray for believers who are being persecuted for the Lord’s sake.
