The Wisdom of God!
Hello everyone,
How are you
doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. “Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”
(Psalm 68v19, KJV). Hallelujah.
Primary Text
“Let
no person deceive himself. If anyone among you supposes that he is wise in this
age, let him become a fool [let him discard his worldly discernment and
recognize himself as dull, stupid, and foolish, without true learning and
scholarship], that he may become [really] wise.” 1 Corinthians 4v18 (AMP)
Do you feel you
are wise? Are you filled with the wisdom of God, or is it the wisdom of this
age? 1 Corinthians 1v21-25 (NLT) tells us that “Since God in His wisdom saw to
it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our
foolish preaching to save those who believe. It is foolish to the Jews, who ask
for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom.
So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the
Gentiles say it’s all nonsense. But to those called by God to salvation, both
Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This
foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness
is stronger than the greatest of human strength.” God’s wisdom is so much more
than that of the world. Remember:
Supplementary Text
“Blessed (happy,
fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the
counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor
stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down
[to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his
delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts,
the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and
studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and
tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season;
its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and
come to maturity].” Psalm 1v1-3 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank
You for Your wisdom. We pray that You will fill us with the wisdom and the
power of God, in Jesus name, amen.
