Ye are Christ’s!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And
ye are Christ’s;…” 1 Corinthians 3v23 (KJV)
“and
you belong to Christ, …” 1 Corinthians 3v23 (NLT)
“and
you are privileged to be in union with Christ,…” 1 Corinthians 3v23 (MSG)
What
a blessing and a privilege to belong to Christ, to be Christ’s. If you could
think of anyone in the world to belong to, could anyone compare to Jesus – One
who would lay down His life for you. One who is called the Good Shepherd. One
who understands all that we are going through, helps us through it and
intercedes for us. John 10v11-15 (AMP) says “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good
Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep. But the hired
servant (he who merely serves for wages) who is neither shepherd nor the owner
of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away.
And the wolf chases and snatches them and scatters [the flock]. Now the
hireling flees because he merely serves for wages and is not himself concerned
about the sheep [cares nothing for them]. I am the Good Shepherd; and I know
and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me – Even as [truly as] the
Father knows Me and I also know the Father – and I am giving My [very own] life
and laying it down on behalf of the sheep.” Thank God we belong to Jesus.
Supplementary Text
“The
LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows;
He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along
right paths, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the darkest
valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and your
staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my
enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with
blessings. Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days
of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23v1-6
(NLT)
