The Spirit of God

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2v8-16 (AMP)

From these verses of scripture, we see some truths laid out. First, no one knows what a person thinks; except the spirit of the person within them. Indeed Jeremiah 17v9-10 (NIV) tells us “”The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”” However, as we see God does know what we think. Second, the Spirit of God knows what God thinks. Third, God has given us His Spirit so that we will know about the wonderful free gifts of grace and blessing that God has given us. Beloved, let us fellowship with the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of God.

Prayer

Father, I thank You so much for Your Spirit whom You have given to us. We pray that He will indeed guide us into all truth, that we may know and understanding and realize and appreciate the gifts that You have given to us in Jesus name, amen.
