As God Sees!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Beloved, how
do you see yourself today? How does the Lord see you? The Lord wrote to the
angel of the Church in Laodicea, after telling them that they were lukewarm,
that:
Primary Text: Revelations
3:17-18
“Because
thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and
knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be
rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Revelations 3v17-18 (KJV)
The
way God sees is different from the way man sees. Man looks on the appearance,
but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16v7). The Church in Laodicea thought they
were rich, increased with goods, and had need of nothing. But the Lord saw them
in a different light. Spiritually, they were far from rich. Furthermore, they
were not seeing properly. They did not see their true state. They substituted
an abundance of earthly riches to mean they were rich. They thought they were
fine, but they were not. Indeed 1 Timothy 6v6-10 (KJV) encourages us that “But
godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this
world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment
let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation
and a snare, and into many foolish
and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love
of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But
thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” May God enable us to see ourselves
as we really are, appreciate our need for Him in Jesus name and search for true
riches in Jesus name, amen. May we never exchange our souls for the world in
Jesus name, amen.
Prayer
Father,
I thank You so much for Your Word. Father, search me and know my heart, try me,
and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in
the way everlasting, in Jesus name, amen. I pray too from Ephesians 1v18 that
You would open our eyes to see Your truth so that we will know the hope that
You have chosen us to have, and know too that the blessings You have promised
Your holy people are rich and glorious in Jesus name, amen.
