You have not, because you ask not (1)
Dearly beloved, I
trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. This is the day that the
Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. James 4v1-2 (NCV) says “Do you know where your fights and arguments
come from? They come from the selfish desires that war within you. You want things, but you do not have them.
So you are ready to kill and are jealous of other people, but you still cannot
get what you want. So you argue and fight. You do not get what you want,
because you do not ask God.”
Child of God, what
is it that you want? Go to God with your request. One of the most wonderful and
beautiful privileges that we have as believers is access to the most powerful,
kind, loving, just and righteous God and having Him as our Father. Psalm
145v18-19 (AMPC) says “The
Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in
truth.
He will fulfill the desires of
those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will
hear their cry and will save them.” What are you in need of? Go to God. He will
hear you.
Prayer
Father, we thank
You for this day. This is the day You have made and we will rejoice and be glad
in it. We thank You because we can come boldly before Your throne of grace,
where we can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We thank You
because we can come to You with our every desire and need. How wonderful You
are. Help us always remember to come to You, and not be distraught and look
elsewhere. Be glorified in our lives o God. Thank You for we have a personal
relationship with the living God. Glory be to Your holy name forevermore. In
Jesus name we pray, amen.
