A Daniel Prayer
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace over our lives, and His love for us. He is very faithful. He is not one who is limited by geographical location. Even in a strange land, a foreign land where the Hebrews were taken, He was still able to make them stand out and be very great. We recall the story of Daniel, Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego, where it was recorded that:
“As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.” Daniel 1v17
And again:
“And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in his realm.” Daniel 1v20
It doesn’t matter how short a time you have studied a thing for, or been in a place. God is able to equip you with knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and give understanding in all visions and dreams, so much so that you will do better than those who have been there much longer than you have been. Don’t limit yourself. Today, I had to fill something which talked about the youth, economics, politics of Kenya, and I am not Kenyan. I thought, I don’t really know about things in Kenya, so I might not be able to fill it out properly. Perhaps you are feeling the same way about something – a new project you have to embark on, a new language, a new class, a presentation, - the God of Daniel, is able to make you an expert in geographical areas, and subject areas you have no clue about, and make you even ten times better than all your colleagues. But like Daniel, determine to not defile yourself and serve Him forever. And I pray that the Lord God of Daniel will grant you knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; may He grant you understanding in dreams; and in all matters of wisdom and understanding that are enquired of you, may you be found to be ten times better than all your colleagues in Jesus name, amen.
