July 11th, 2009 - Where are you looking? (5)

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His blessings, His mercies, and His words of wisdom. If one wants to succeed in life, and go very far, one must learn not to look at his or her surroundings. Some verses that look at this include:

“He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11v4
Basically, things will never seem to be just right for what you need to do. If you keep looking at the wind, the Bible tells us, you will never sow.

The Amplified Bible says that:
“He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favourable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11v4

While the New Living Translation says:
“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.” Ecclesiastes 11v4

So, is there something you have been putting on hold because the conditions do not seem favourable. Perhaps, it is time to launch out, and start sowing and reaping. Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5v7).

Have a very blessed day.
