Where are you looking?

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. One way not to look is at one’s self, or at flesh. For whatever purpose, for whatever thing that needs to be done, you cannot afford to look at yourself as yourself. The only way you should look at yourself, is through the eyes of the Lord, seeing yourself the way God sees you. If you look at yourself, without filtering your thoughts through the Word of God, you will fail. We see an example of someone who looked at himself through his own eyes, in the case of Gideon. God had called him “thou mighty man of valour” ... and told him he was going to save the children of Israel out of the hand of the Midianites.

“And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” Judges 6v15

This is a typical case of looking at self – looking at one’s resources, and one’s might. But we see what the LORD’s response was to Gideon:

“And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” Judges 6v16.

God was basically reminding him that with God on his side, he could move mountains, and excel in that which was seemingly impossible. That is the same way God is talking to you today, that don’t look at your resources, or endowments or lack thereof. With Me with you, you shall smite the seemingly impossible, and succeed in it. Are you ready to launch out?

Have a very blessed day.

Dearest Heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for Your Word and all that You have put therein for us to learn from. We thank You because You are with us always. We thank You because since You are with us, we can face situations, problems, challenges, tomorrow and impossibilities without fear. Why? Because You are with us. With this confidence therefore dear Lord, we commit all that we are going to do today and all the work of our hands into Your hands, asking for Your presence and guidance, wisdom and strength. We thank You for the greater One on the inside of us and making us more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Blessed be Your holy name dear Lord. Thank You for establishing our thoughts even as we have committed our works into Your hands. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are ready to do the impossible through You. Help us to remember always to give You all the glory, in Jesus name we pray with thanksgiving, amen.
