Who is God to you?
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace upon our lives and His love for us. Today’s encouragement is just to ask you who is God to you? When people ask you, who is God, how do you describe Him? How close are you to Him? Are you known of Him? One way in which Nehemiah referred to God, was the Lord of heaven.
“And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
And said, I beseech Thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love Him and observe His commandments:” Nehemiah 1v5-6
“Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, He will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.” Nehemiah 2v20
I wonder what revelation Nehemiah had as God that he referred to Him as the God of heaven. What revelation do you have of God and what do you call Him? Indeed He is Wonderful – full of wonders, only Him doeth wonders , Counsellor – full of the best counsel we could ever need; Mighty God – He is awesome and mighty to save ....
