IN all labour
Hello everybody,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace, His mercy, His love for us. We thank Him again for wisdom which He has given to us His children. One such word of wisdom we see in Proverbs 14v23 which says that:
“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.” (King James Version).
“Those who work hard make a profit, but those who only talk will be poor.” (New Century Version).
“Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!” (New Living Translation).
“Hard work is worthwhile, but empty talk will make you poor.” (Contemporary English Version).
“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” (New International Version).
“In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty.” (Amplified Bible)
Even when you are not paid, you never know when down the line, the experience you gained in doing that labour will prove very worthwhile. There are times when you put a lot of effort into doing one thing, and realize that down the line it comes in very handy. Work hard, and there would be profit. This Scripture is one I like a lot, especially the fact that it points out that in all labour, so there is no labour that you put in that would not bring profit. So be encouraged, and keep working hard, and be blessed even as you do it, even as unto the Lord, and not unto man, and may the good Lord grant us all the grace to be hard workers in Jesus name, amen.
