Get Back in the Word (2)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His Word. Interestingly enough, I went for a service yesterday evening, and the message was about getting to know the Word, meditating on it, getting to know it for ourselves, beyond the services we attend at Church…. He concluded by saying we should commit to loving, honoring and obeying the Book. It is a marriage. “Love God; love the Book; Honor God; honor His Word; Obey God, Obey His Word.” Beloved, it is so crucial to get back in the Word. Remember the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Ephesians 6v17). We need to know the Word so we are not deceived in these last days. We need to know the Word so that we can know God more. We need to hide the Word in our hearts, so that we do not sin against God (Psalm 119v11). You need to know the Word, so that you know God.
Primary Text: John 1v1-3
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1v1-3 (KJV).
“IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.” John 1v1-3 (AMP).
Jesus is the Word of God. If you want to know Jesus, get to know the Word. The Bible says that “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1v14) and also “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us; That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1v1-3). Let’s get back to the Word. Let’s get back to our first love.
Supplementary Text:
“But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4v4 (KJV)
“This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Could you build Me a temple as good as that? Could you build Me such a resting place? My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are Mine. I, the LORD, have spoken! “I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at My word.” Isaiah 66v1-2 (NLT)
“But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength) and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)!” 2 Peter 3v18 (AMP)
“Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial, a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.” 2 Timothy 2v15 (AMP).
Prayer
