REMEMBER

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: Psalm 105v5
“Remember the miracles He has done; remember His wonders and His decisions.” Psalm 105v4 (KJV)

The Bible tells us that “For whatever was thus written in former days was written for our instruction, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the Scriptures we might hold fast to and cherish hope” (Romans 15v4, AMP). One thing remembrance can do is to bring about hope and encouragement. When we remember His miracles and wonders – the fact that we are still alive, or how He showed up on our behalf in time past, when we can look around and see that which He is doing, or has done in the lives of those that we know – we are encouraged. Remember beloved, remember. Speak about it to yourself, or with others. When we remember His decisions, His judgments, the way He settles matters, we gain a better understanding of who He is. For instance, through the life of Saul, we learn that for God to obey is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15v22), and from the life of Eli, that those who honor God, He honors, and those who despise Him, He will lightly esteem (1 Samuel 2v30). Hallelujah.

Supplementary Text:
“Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah. And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember Thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? Thou art the God that doest wonders: Thou hast declared Thy strength among the people.” Psalm 77v9-14 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, You are a great and mighty God. There is none like You. Thank You for Your wonders, Your miracles and Your decisions. May we always remember them, may they always bring us hope and encouragement and cause praise to resound from our lips in Jesus name, amen.
