Worship

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. “For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods” (Psalm 48v1). He is worthy of all worship and honor, praise and adoration.

Primary Text: Revelations 4v8-11
“And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelations 4v8-11 (KJV)

“Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty – the One who always was, who is, and who is still to come.” Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the One sitting on the throne (the One who lives forever and ever), the twenty-four elders fall down and worship the One sitting on the throne (the One who lives forever and ever). And they lay their crowns before the throne and say, “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased.” Revelation 4v8-11 (NLT)

Our God is worthy of praise. Here, we are shown a description of what is happening around the throne of God – the One who lives forever and ever, the One who is holy and just and righteous. He is worthy. Hallelujah. But, He is still worthy of our praise and adoration. The Bible says “A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is the [reverent] fear due Me? says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests, who despise My name. You say, How and in what way have we despised Your name? By offering polluted food upon My altar. And you ask, How have we polluted it and profaned You? By thinking that the table of the Lord is contemptible and may be despised.” Malachi 1v6-7 (AMP) The Bible tells us “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful into Him, and bless His name” (Psalm 100v4, KJV). He is worthy of it. Now, God is also our Father, our Comforter, our Counselor, our Shepherd, … but He is still God and deserves the glory and the honor.

Supplementary Text:
“And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him.” Matthew 28v8-9 (KJV)

“And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped Him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of the most high God? I adjure Thee by God, that Thou torment me not.” Mark 5v5-7 (KJV)

“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him.” John 9v35-38 (KJV)

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelations 19v10 (KJV)
