An ever-present Strengthener (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and hope, which we don’t deserve,” 2 Thessalonians 2v16 (TLB)

As believers, we need strength, courage, boldness and power for our daily lives, to live as a believer, to fight the good fight of faith, and to fulfil destiny. We see in Joshua 1 how God repeatedly told Joshua who was to take over from Moses in leading the children of Israel into the promised land to be strong and of a good courage, not to be afraid for He will not fail Him nor forsake Him. He assured Him of His presence with Him. We see in Isaiah 41v10 (AMP) a scripture I really like that says “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.” Indeed God encourages us not to be fearful by giving us the assurance of His presence with us; morever, we have the Holy Spirit of God in us and with us to comfort, counsel help, advocate, strengthen, intercede for, standby and empower us. Indeed Ephesians 3v16 (AMP) says “May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].” Beloved, I don’t know what you are facing today whether in your home, family, ministry, at the point you are in life, what battles, discouragement or whatever it is that you might be going through; but if you need strength, if you need power and courage, why don’t you ask God for it and see how He would infuse this within you. We see an illustration of this in the text below!

Supplementary Text
“On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “You made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David: “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against His anointed one. Indeed Herod and Pontius Plate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed. They did what Your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” Acts 4v23-31 (NIV)

Prayer
Are you in need of strength, courage, and boldness? Why don’t you acknowledge God for who He is and ask God for what you need?
