Constant prayer

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

“With this in view we constantly pray for you, …” 2 Thessalonians 1v11 (AMP)

“So we keep on praying for you, ...” 2 Thessalonians 1v11 (NLT)

This verse shows again that there is a place of praying for others. Now this letter was written by Paul, Silas and Timothy to the church in Thessalonica, but we find that in Paul’s letters, he often spoke of praying for others, and I believe we should do more of that. Here are some prayers that were prayed and we too can pray for others and for ourselves. I would even encourage looking them up in other versions of the Bible even as you pray:

Ephesians 1v16-20 (TLB): “I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that He has done for you. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future He has called you to share. I want you to realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ’s have been given to Him! I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great His power is to help those who believe Him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven,”


Ephesians 3v14-21 (NIV): ”For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
