Faithful God

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Yet the Lord is faithful, …” 2 Thessalonians 3v3 (AMP)

To be faithful means to be true and loyal. Some synonyms include accurate, authentic and believable. Our God is faithful! Faithful to His Word and faithful to who He is. Numbers 23v19 (AMP) says “God is not a man that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?” If you look back on your life, you can indeed say God is faithful… For those who have fought the good fight of faith and finished their course like Abraham, Sarah, David, Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Ruth, Esther, Deborah and other men and women of faith, they would tell you that God is faithful. I am still running this course, but I know that my God has been faithful and is still faithful! He is faithful to ensure that we are not tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10v13); faithful to strengthen and keep us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3v3); and faithful to keep His promises. Deuteronomy 7v9 (KJV) says “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations;”. In fact, even when we do not have faith, God remains true to Himself and remains faithful!

Supplementary Text
“I am comforted by this truth, that when we suffer and die for Christ it only means that we will begin living with Him in heaven. And if we think that our present service for Him is hard, just remember that some day we are going to sit with Him and rule with Him. But if we give up when we suffer, and turn against Christ, then He must turn against us. Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, He remains faithful to us and will help us, for He cannot disown us who are part of Himself, and He will always carry out His promises to us.”  2 Timothy 2v11-13 (TLB)

Prayer
Father, we thank You so much for Your faithfulness. Thank You because You have been so faithful to us and we are so grateful. We thank You because You are faithful to do what You promised, to keep us from evil and to strengthen us. Blessed be Your holy name in Jesus name, amen. Father, help us to remain faithful to You in Jesus name, amen.
