Resist the devil

“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.” Luke 10v19 (AMP)

The Bible lets us know that while we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. That is our adversary and opposition is not flesh and blood. Ephesians 6v12 (AMP) saying “For we are not wrestling flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.” Even as our opposition is spiritual, so also are the weapons are not weapons of this world (2 Corinthians 10v4). But one thing we have in Christ is the assurance of victory. Luke 10v19 tells us that God has given us authority and power over every power of the enemy and that nothing shall by any means harm us. It is not as if the enemy would not try, for he walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour, but we are to stand firm when he attacks, resisting him steadfast in faith (1 Peter 5v8-9). Indeed, James 4v7 (KJV) says “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you. “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word and the authority You have given to us as believers. Father we submit ourselves to You and devil we resist you over every area of our lives, our health, our families, our finances in Jesus name, amen. We decree that nothing shall by any means harm us in Jesus name, amen.
