Faithful God (2)
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And
that we may be delivered from perverse (improper, unrighteous) and wicked
(actively malicious) men, for not everybody has faith and is held by it. Yet
the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm
foundation and guard you from the evil [one].” 2 Thessalonians 3v2-3 (AMP)
We
thank God for His faithfulness. We know that we live in a present evil world,
and we do have an adversary who is the devil. 1 Peter 5v8-9 (AMP) says “Be well
balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for
that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce
hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in
faith [against his onset – rooted, established, strong, immovable, and
determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your
brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.” We can always
count on the faithfulness of God, to strengthen us through every kind of
adversity and to guard us from the evil one. 1 Peter 1v5 tells us that we are kept
by the power of God - hallelujah. Sometimes it may seem that the enemy has won,
but God is in charge. I am reminded of the three Hebrew children who were
thrown into the fiery furnace, but our faithful God showed up and preserved
them. I think of Daniel who was thrown into the lion’s den, but God showed up
and saved Him. I don’t know what you are going through, but I know that God is
faithful, and He will make you strong and guard you against every satanic
attack.
Supplementary Text
“In
righteousness shall thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for
thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold,
they shall surely gather together, but not by Me: whosoever shall gather
together against thee shall fall for thy sake.” Isaiah 54v14-15 (KJV)
Prayer
Our
heavenly Father we thank You for the assurance of Your protection. We pray that
any gathering against us should fall for our sakes in Jesus name, amen. We pray
for strength, grace, and courage in the face of adversity in Jesus name, amen.
