Keep on doing good

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And as for you, brethren, do not become weary or lose heart in doing right [but continue in well-doing without weakening].” 2 Thessalonians 3v13 (AMP)
“And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.” 2 Thessalonians 3v13 (NIV)

Beloved brethren, have you been doing good? Have you been doing what is right? Have you been diligent in your affairs? Have you been seeking to please God in all your endeavours? Don’t be weary in doing it. Being weary could mean being tired or disillusioned. Synonyms for weary are tired, tired out, sleepy, exhausted, worn out, fatigued, drained, somnolent, and drowsy! Have you been serving, working hard, giving of what you have – time, talent, treasure – to the glory of God, don’t be weary. Weariness can be of the body, mind, emotions, will and spirit. Weariness or losing heart might come for example because of the intensity of the work itself, working with others who might be contentious or it seemingly unrecognized labour. Remember indeed that it is the Lord God that we serve, and what you do, you are doing it unto Him (Colossians 3v23-24). 1 Corinthians 15v58 (AMP) says “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].” Beloved, we are here encouraged to be immovable, abound in the work of God, be superior in it, excel in it, do more than enough in it, knowing that your labour is not in vain! Hallelujah!

Supplementary Text
“Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.” Romans 12v21 (AMP)

Prayer

Father we thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the power to do good. We pray that You will continue to enable us and give us the grace to abound in well-doing. We pray that You would renew our strength and revive our spirits and give fire and zeal afresh to do Your work. We pray that all the glory will be to Your name in Jesus name, amen.
