The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“The grace (spiritual
blessing and favor) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with you all. Amen (so be it).” 2 Thessalonians 3v18
(AMP)
This verse of
scripture lets us know that there is available to us the grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ. Secondly, that this grace should be with us. Indeed, it is very
possible to live a life that does not acknowledge or tap into the grace of God.
Beloved, the grace of God saves, delivers and makes us who we are. There are
many today who think it is enough to be a good person, not do or think ill will
towards others. But we thank God for His great grace through which we are
saved. Ephesians 2v4-9 (NLT) says “But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us
so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life
when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have
been saved!) For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us
with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God
can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His
grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united
with Christ Jesus. God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take
credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good
things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Are you aware and
appreciative of this grace? Are you trying to live a righteous life all by
yourself, without realizing that it is by the grace of God we are saved?
Galatians 2v21 (NLT) says “I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For
if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for
Christ to die.”
Supplementary Text
“So overflowing is
His kindness toward us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His
Son, by whom we are saved; and He has showered down upon us the richness of His
grace – for how well He understands us and knows what is best for us at all
times.” Ephesians 1v7-8 (TLB)
Prayer
Father, we thank You
for Your incredible grace by which we were saved when we believed. We are so
very grateful and we appreciate You in Jesus name, amen.
