Heeding instructions?

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are doing and will continue to do the things which we suggest and with which we charge you.” 2 Thessalonians 3v4 (AMP)

“And we trust the Lord that you are putting into practice the things we taught you, and that you always will.” 2 Thessalonians 3v4 (TLB)

This verses shows a great testimony of the faithfulness of God and a certain people. Indeed the Bible tells us that “For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him, and then helping you do what He wants” (Philippians 2v13, TLB). And so this testimony shows that we trust God that what we suggested you do, you are doing and you will continue to do it. On the other hand, Philippians 2v12 (TLB) says “Dearest friends, when I was there with you, you were always careful to follow my instructions. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to do the good things that result from being saved, obeying God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that might displease Him.” Thus we see that it is one thing to be instructed, it is another for you to take to the instruction and with the help of God follow through on it. Are you heeding to the Word of God? Can a confident boast be made of the Lord on your behalf? Who are you when others are not watching? Who are you when your teachers are not watching? Beloved, hold on to God – His teachings, words, commands and wisdom.

Supplementary Text
“For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair – every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways. Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.” Proverbs 2v6-18 (NIV)
