Hypocrisy!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“I, Paul, write you this final greeting with my own hand. This is the mark and sign [that it is not a forgery] in every letter of mine. It is the way I write [my handwriting and signature].” 2 Thessalonians 3v17 (AMP)

How identifiable are you? A mother can usually pick out the cry of her own child in the midst of a number of other children that are crying. Paul talks about his own handwriting and signature, and today’s question is are you identifiable to all as a Christian. Now, a person might wear different hats – as both a parent and a child, a friend and a professional, a leader and a worker – but are you identifiable to all as a child of God. Would any one person that knows you be surprised to hear the fact that you are a Christian or would they be able to say, ah ha, now I know why he or she stood out and made a difference. A hypocrite is defined as “a person who pretends to be what he is not… [or] a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs” (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hypocrite?s=t). Are you a Christian really or pretending to be one? Are you speaking the language, fellowshipping with Christians but not a Christian? Check yourself dear one! While a person might be able to pretend to different people, one can never hide from God because He knows those who are His (2 Timothy 2v19). If you do not have the Spirit of Christ you do not belong to Jesus (Romans 8v9). Now there are those who are born again but the enemy keeps condemning you about things you did in the past – remember that Romans 8v33-34 (AMP) says “Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Will acquits us?] Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?”

But if you really do not know Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, and you want to have a relationship with Him. If you recognize that you are indeed a sinner and in need of a Savior and ready to embrace the salvation that is available because of Christ’s death on the cross, The Bible says:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”  Romans 10v9-10

You can say a prayer like this: Heavenly Father, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all that I have done and ask that You forgive me for all of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus, I ask that You be Lord and Saviour over my life. I believe that You came to die for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You Father for translating me out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for sealing me with Your Holy Spirit of promise. Please keep me till the end in You, and may Your Name alone be glorified in my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

If you said this prayer today, know that you are now a child of God and that there is much jubilation in heaven because of you. Begin to attend a Bible-believing church, and keep the faith! Welcome into God’s family.
