Divine Purpose
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this
day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
“There came a man sent
from God, whose name was John. This man came to witness, ....” John 1v6-7 (AMP)
Beloved, can you take a
moment to see what these verses of scripture tell you about God? What about
yourself? We see here that our God is a God of purpose and He sometimes uses
people to achieve that purpose. Ephesians 1v11 (ERV) says “In Christ we were
chosen to be God’s people. God had already planned for us to be His people,
because that is what He wanted. And He is the One who makes everything agree
with what He decides and what He wants.” The Amplified says “… Who works out
everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will,”. Psalm
24v1 (NIV) lets us know that “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the
world and all who live in it;” In the same way that God had a purpose for John,
sending him to come to witness, so also does God have a plan for your life.
Jeremiah 29v11 (KJV) says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”
while Ephesians 2v10 (AMP) tells us that “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His
workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good
works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He
prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life
which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” Beloved, God has plans
for your life. He has things He would have you do. Have you taken time to ask
Him about it? He would tell you. Jeremiah 33v3 (KJV) says “Call unto Me, and I
will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest
not.”
Prayer
My Father and my God, I
thank You for my life and Your purposes for it. Please reveal Your plans for my
life and bring them to fulfillment in Jesus name, amen.
