Light of the World!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“This man came to witness, that he might testify of the Light, that all men might believe in it [adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it] through him. He was not the Light himself, but came that he might bear witness regarding the Light. There it was – the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person.” John 1v7-9 (AMP)

Jesus is the true Light that gives light to everyone. John 3v16 tells us of how God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 1v4 (TLB) tells us of the Son of God saying “Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives light to all mankind.” However, people relate to the Light in different ways. John 3v20-21 (AMP) says “For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved. But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are – wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].” How are you relating to the Light? Are you following after it or running from it lest your deeds be reproved? John 8v12 (TLB) tells us that “… Jesus said to the people, “I am the Light of the world. So if you follow Me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path.”

Prayer

Father, I thank You for the Light of the world. Thank You for Jesus. Lord I follow after You, praying that indeed Your light will flood my path and I will not stumble in darkness in Jesus name, amen.
