The King of Glory (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong …” Psalm 24v7-8 (KJV)

Who is this King of glory? Who is the One for whom ancient, age-abiding doors and gates have to be opened? He is the LORD strong and mighty. To be strong means “especially able, competent, or powerful in a specific field or respect… of great moral power, firmness, or courage: “strong under temptation”… powerful in influence, authority, resources, or means of prevailing or succeeding: “a strong nation.” (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/strong?s=t) Our God is strong. He is especially able, competent and powerful in all aspects of life. He is stronger than any entity on earth, in heaven and underneath the earth, after all – He is the One who created all things. Psalm 24v1-2 (KJV) says “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.” He is strong enough to deliver from every enemy; the blood of Jesus is strong enough to cleanse us from our sins; He is strong in resources; powerful in influence, He is the King of glory! In Matthew 12v24 we see Jesus being accused by the Pharisees that He was casting out devils by the prince of the devils. But Jesus said a house, city or kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. He further said “But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you [before you expected it]. Or how can a person go into a strong man’s house and carry off his goods (the entire equipment of his house) without first binding the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.” (Matthew 12v28-29, AMP). Indeed our God is stronger than any strong man, principality or power – He created them!

Prayer
Father we bless You and honour You. You are the King of glory – the LORD strong and mighty. The Lord mighty in battle. We give all honour and adoration to You in Jesus name, amen.
