Spiritual Blindness
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this
day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“But although He made the
world, the world didn’t recognize Him when He came.” John 1v10 (TLB)
“He came into the world,
and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did
not know Him].” John 1v10 (AMP)
Jesus Christ is the Word
of God, in existence with God at the beginning. Through Him the world was made;
“He created everything there is – nothing exists that He didn’t make” (John
1v3, TLB). However, we find that when Jesus the Son of God, the Word of God,
the Light of the Word came to the world, the world did not recognize Him or
know Him. Today, there are still many who are blind to God and God’s Son. We
find that this blindness is attributable to the enemy who has closed their eyes
that they would be unable to accept the Gospel of God. 2 Corinthians 4v3-4
(AMP) tells us “But even if our Gospel (the glad
tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the
knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and
obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to
those who are lost. For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’
minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the
illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is
the Image and Likeness of God.” We find therefore a
spiritual battle that needs to take place as we contend and ask for souls to be
saved. Beloved, are you believing God for a soul to be saved? Don’t give up, keep
praying and interceding that every spiritual blindness would be healed in Jesus
name, amen.
Prayer
Father in the name of
Jesus we thank You for Your Word this day. We pray for our unbelieving family,
friends, loved ones and all those who do not know You that You will open their
eyes and minds, removing every veil that the enemy has placed in Jesus name,
amen. We thank You because Jesus is the Light of the world. We pray that the
Light of God will flood their hearts and dispel every darkness and confusion in
Jesus name, amen.
