Life
Hello
everyone,
How are you
doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“In Him was
life;” John 1v4 (KJV)
When you think
about life, what do you think of? On the one hand, people might say well using
what it is not, it means one is not dead i.e. you are still counted among the
living, those who are moving, breathing, thinking, jumping, participating in
the activities of this world. On the other hand, some may look at it a bit more
deeper like you are in the world yes, breathing yes, but also thriving i.e.
life is not being sucked out of you either because of some sickness, or some tragedy
that has befallen you. Whatever one’s definition of life is we find that life
is intricately linked to God and cannot be understood outside of Him. Indeed we
are told that in Jesus was life (John 1v4). Genesis 2v7 (KJV) says “And the
LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” God created the world and
all that is within it and therefore gave it its life to begin with and continues
to sustain this life as we see in Colossians 1v17 (AMP) “And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him
all things consist (cohere, are held together).” Furthermore, Jesus Himself said “I am the way, the truth and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14v6). Beloved, do you have a
relationship with life, who is the Lord Jesus Christ. If not, He is the One who
is life whom God sent as a Saviour to reconcile the world and sinners to
Himself, He loves you and wants a relationship with you. Do you believe this? If
you do, all you need to do is acknowledge to God that you have indeed sinned
and are in need of a Saviour; you accept Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and would like Him to
come into your heart, as your Lord and Saviour.
Prayer
Father we
thank You for life. We thank You for life that we have found in Christ. We
bless Your name for it. We pray that we would not only live life but will live
the abundant life which Christ gives in Jesus name, amen.\
