Patience
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for the hope we
have in Him… and how we can with patience wait for it. Romans 8v25 tells us
that:
Primary Text
“But if we hope for
that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Romans 8v25 (KJV)
“But if we hope for
what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure.” Romans
8v25 (AMP)
“But if we look
forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and
confidently.)” Romans 8v25 (NLT)
We are hoping for
something that we haven’t seen yet… but we have the Word of God, which gives us
hope. John 14v1-3 (NLT) says “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God,
and trust also in Me. There is more than enough room in My Father’s home. If
this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for
you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always
be with Me where I am.” Through the Spirit of God we can continue to abound,
overflow and bubble over with hope. We know too that God cannot lie, and what
He says He will do, He will do. Like Abraham who patiently waited for the
promise of God, let us also patiently wait for the Lord. The Lord Jesus has
gone to prepare a place for us in His Father’s house, that where He is, we also
may be. Even concerning other things we wait on the Lord for here on earth, let
us continue to hold onto His promises, for He is faithful who promised. Psalm
27v14 (TLB) says “Don’t be impatient. Wait for the Lord, and He will come and
save you! Be brave, stouthearted, and courageous. Yes, wait and He will help
you.”
Prayer
Father,
we thank You so much for Your Word. We pray that Thou O God of our hope will
fill us with all joy and peace in believing, through the experience of our
faith, that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we may abound and be overflowing
and bubbling over with hope in Jesus name, amen.
