Present Condition!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Everything that God made is waiting with excitement for the
time when he will show the world who his children are. The whole world wants
very much for that to happen. Everything God made was allowed to become like
something that cannot fulfill its purpose. That was not its choice, but God
made it happen with this hope in view: That the creation would be made free
from ruin—that everything God made would have the same freedom and glory that
belong to God’s children. We know that everything God made has been waiting
until now in pain like a woman ready to give birth to a child.” Romans 8v19-22
(Easy-to-read version)
Now we know that one
day, in the twinkling of an eye, the Lord shall return, and our earthly bodies
will be transformed into immortal bodies, bodies that will never die. But
Romans 8v22 is showing that till that happens, the whole creation is groaning… There
are those who the pain of living in this present world, in their present
condition and with no hope for tomorrow, gets too hard that they decide to take
their own lives, thus we see suicides occurring. There are others who are tired
and depressed. Still some who seek to drown out their pains with such things as
drugs, and drinking, and immoral relationships and so on. The pain of childbirth
is such that it seems so close, and yet so far as there is an anticipation of something
huge about to happen. For the believer, there is the hope of spending eternity
with the Lord, so that even in the midst of troubles and pains, we can say, it
is well. In fact, our Lord Jesus encouraged us with these words: “Peace I leave with
you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let
My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and
strength for every challenge.]” (John 14v27, AMP)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for today, and pray that as we wait on You and wait on the Lord to
come back for His church, that You continue to restore our souls, and revive
our courage, and heal us and lead us, grant us peace and encourage us even by
Your Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
