The manifestation of the sons of God (2)

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Romans 8v19 (KJV)

“For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].” Romans 8v19 (AMP) 

“Everything God made is waiting with excitement for God to show His children’s glory completely.” Romans 8v19 (NCV)

A question that lingers on my mind is why does the earnest expectation of the creation wait for the manifestation of the sons of God? Now we can look at ‘creation’ to include creation who are on earth, in heaven and below the earth and question, why would each of these be waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God? Why would human beings want to know who the sons of God are? Why would angels want to know who the sons of God are? Why would the enemy be curious to know who the sons of God are? Synonyms for manifestation include indication, display, exhibition and demonstration. 1 John 3v8 (KJV) says “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. As sons of God we are also on earth for a reason and for a purpose. For example, our Lord Jesus said that “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father” John 14v12 (AMP). Creation is excited about God’s son being made known. May we indeed be all that God has called us to be in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your hand upon our lives. We thank You because we are Your children. Father, creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Help us to manifest all that You would have us reveal, and be all that You would have us be in Jesus name, amen.
