And then (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His lovingkindness, and how He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1v3), and how we are seated together in heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2v6). The Bible tells us one of the things what would happen when Jesus comes back in the clouds:

“And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.” Mark 13v27

“And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24v21

“And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21v27-28

What a relief to know that Jesus is faithful and true to His Word. We thank God because Jesus is risen, and He has gone to prepare a place for us in heaven, that where He is, we also can be (John 14v2-3). What a wonderful hope. The resurrection from the dead is however something that Paul, on inspiration from God, as all Scripture are (2 Timothy 3v16), addressed. He writing that:

“But tell me this – since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?
For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either.
And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.
And we apostles would all be lying about God – for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead.
And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.
In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost!
And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.” 1 Corinthians 15v12-20 (New Living Translation)

Hallelujah. What great hope we have. Hold fast to that which you have believed, and in Him who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Have a very lovely day.
