A clean house
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace, His mercy and His love for us. Have you ever had something stinky in your house – maybe some food got burnt, or some left overs got spoilt, or a little animal died,…just a real bad smell. Well, what do you do? You get rid of that thing, and clean up the place, and then probably open the windows and/or spray some air freshner to get rid of the smell.
Do you know that when you allow your heart to be filled with such things as hatred, anger, malice, insecurities, fear, doubt, discouragement, … it brings out the wrong vibes? You have to rid yourself of these things. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 2v1-2 that:
“Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,” 1 Peter 2v1-2 (New International Version)
“SO BE done with every trace of wickedness (depravity, malignity) and all deceit and insincerity (pretense, hypocrisy) and grudges (envy, jealousy) and slander and evil speaking of every kind. Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation,” 1 Peter 2v1-2 (Amplified Bible)
Is there some house cleaning that needs to be done in your life? Search yourselves, and prayerfully rid yourself of all these things. Make a decision to put aside things that would not glorify God, but choose to glorify Him in your body and in your spirit which are His (1 Corinthians 6v20). Yield to God and to His Spirit. Crave the pure spiritual food. Look to find out God’s way of doing things. You can find out from the Word (John 14v17, John 16v13); from His Spirit who is in you and dwells with you, and who is to guide us into all truth; through good teachings e.t.c. Seek to break free from the world’s mentality and way of doing things, and seek to do things the way of the kingdom, and be blessed in so doing in Jesus name, amen.

Dearest Heavenly Father,
We thank You so much for today. We thank You for Your Word which we have heard today, and we come to You for some house cleaning. We pray that You put a search light on our lives and show us areas where we have been holding grudges, being malicious, deceitful, envious, or slanderous in any way. Some of these we know of, some of these have become so entrenched in us that we think it is our way of doing things. However the root cause of these behaviours are, we pray that You purge us of them all in Jesus name, amen. We submit to Your cleansing and ask You uproot from the roots all these negative and sinful characters in Jesus name, amen. Lord, perhaps they came about as a result of we being hurt, we being insecure, we seeking to defend ourselves from being hurt, anyway they may have come, we pray that You heal us in Jesus name, amen. Your Word says that You pour Your love in our hearts by Your Spirit. We pray that You fill our hearts with Your love in Jesus name, amen. Thank You for the power to be Your sons Lord. Fill us with a desire for more of You and for Your Word. Teach us to live in the way that will glorify You. And in anyway and at anytime we might want to allow these bad things to come back in us, please be quick to alert us to it, and help us to get rid of them very very fast like a very hot potato, in Jesus name we pray, amen. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit for this mighty deliverance, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
