Prayer for Direction
Hello everyone,
How are doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you in Jesus name, amen. We need direction for little things, big things, today, tomorrow, summer, next year, life, marriage, jobs, … we need direction sometimes even to go to a friend’s house, if we should go, the best way to get there e.t.c. We are constantly in need of direction and guidance. And the best thing is that the Great and mighty God, the Almighty, and All knowing, Omniscient God wants to give us that direction. He says in James 1v5 that:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him.” James 1v5 (New International Version).
The Bible also tells us in Proverbs 3v5-6 that:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3v5-6 (King James Version).
Again in Psalm 32v8, the Bible says:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” (New International Version)
“The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (New Living Translation)
“The Lord says, “I will make you wise and show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.” (New Century Version)
So many verses and promises about God wanting to direct Him. Won’t you go ahead and ask Him for His direction about that area that you need it for, trusting that He wants to lead you. Remember He cares for you (1 Peter 5v7). But take heed that you don’t act like a horse or a donkey, that don’t understand direction and need bits and reins or they will not come near you (Psalm 32v8); and make sure you believe and don’t doubt ok (James 1v6). Believe that He is hearing you, and have faith in Him and trust in His wisdom, don’t lean on your own understanding.
