Do not worry!
Hello everybody,
How are you on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you in Jesus name, amen.
The Bible tells us that:
“But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of My name.
This will result in your being witnesses to them.
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.” Luke 21v12-15 (New International Version)
“You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of Me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.” Mark 13v9-11 (New International Version)
Some of the signs of the end of the age, are written above. We have seen some of this already passing. I recall reading about Paul and Silas and an encouragement reflecting on the fact that God can put His own through certain circumstances, so that they can reach jailers and wardens who cannot come to the crusade ground (Acts 26). In fact, Jesus says here that when they are delivered up to the synagogues and brought before kings and governors, they would be His witnesses to them. They get an audience before these kings and governors for Jesus’ sake!
Now one thing Jesus is very clear about when we as believers experience this, is that we should not worry. In fact He says, to make up our minds not to worry about what we will say to defend ourselves – He will give us the words and wisdom that none of our adversaries will be able to resist or gainsay. The account of Mark says, just say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. The King James version says:
“But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.” Mark 13v11
Hallelujah. Perhaps you are going through this experience now – be encouraged. Perhaps it is someone you know – you can encourage them through these words.
Have a very blessed day.
