Take heed!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His favour, and His genuine love and care for us. As Christians, we should be on our guard, and we should encourage each other the more, even as we see the day of the Lord drawing near. One proverb says to be fore warned is to be fore armed. Jesus told His disciples:
“And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or lo, he is there; believe him not:
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.”
Jesus has told us these things that would happen. This way we can be prepared. Notice, that these false Christs, would perform signs and wonders. They will seek to seduce, if possible, even the elect. The New Living Translation says:
“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.
Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time!” Mark 13v22-23
Dearly beloved, be careful. Don’t have itching ears. Don’t look for feel good sermons, instead endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4v3). Be like the Berean Christians who received the word with all readiness of mind, but searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Don’t get offended at the Word, and don’t be ashamed to stand up for what you believe, and may the good Lord keep us all in Him until the end in Jesus name, amen.
