The righteous, the wicked
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness, His faithfulness and His tendermercies. Blessed be the LORD our strength which teacheth our hands to war, and our fingers to fight (Psalm 144v1). Now the Bible tells us in Psalm 37v9 that:
“For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.” Psalm 37v9 (New International Version)
“For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord [in the end] shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37v9 (Amplified Bible)
“For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land.” Psalm 37v9 (New Living Translation)
“Before long the crooks will be bankrupt; GOD-investors will soon own the store.” Psalm 37v9 (The Message)
We see in previous verses of Psalm 37, where the Word of God encourages us to be still before God and wait patiently for Him; to commit our ways before Him; not to fret when men succeed in their ways or when they carry out evil schemes.
Synonyms for the word fret include - worry, fuss, trouble, vex, hassle, bother and upset. Don’t be any of these things, because fretting only leads to evil. Don’t let yourself get carried away and do what those who do not know God do. Instead hope in the Lord, wait on Him, trust in Him, His promises will never fail. His faithfulness endures forever.
“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing” (Psalm 34v8-10, NIV) Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame (Psalm 34v5, NIV)
Have a very blessed day.
Words of Advice from the Word:
“BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked [those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God].
For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God’s will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).” Psalm 1v1-6 (Amplified Bible)

And perhaps you do not even know Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, and you want to have a relationship with Him. The Bible says:
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10v9-10
You can say this prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all that I have done and ask that You forgive me for all of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus, I ask that You be Lord and Saviour over my life. I believe that You came to die for my sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Thank You Father for translating me out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for sealing me with Your Holy Spirit of promise. Please keep me till the end in You, and may Your Name alone be glorified in my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
If you said this prayer today, know that you are now a child of God and that there is much jubilation in heaven because of you. Begin to attend a Bible-believing church, and keep the faith! Welcome into God’s family.
