Don’t be afraid of the lion’s den (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Hard as it is to say, we shouldn’t be afraid of the lion’s den or the fiery furnace. Even when we really do not know the outcome of it, we should still trust in God’s love for us. In fact, three Hebrew children faced such a dire situation:

Primary Text:
”Shradrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Now this was definitely not the answer that the king wanted to hear, and after having the furnace being made 7 times hotter, he commanded them to be thrown into it. These three said, our God is able to deliver us out of thine hand. And He is. David said: “The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.” (Psalm 18v46). God is greater and stronger than anything and anyone, and He is well able to save and avenge His own. But they also said – “if not” … we will not serve thy gods. Even when we are in the situation of “even not” let us remember that God loves us. He cares for us (1 Peter 5v7). His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not ours (Isaiah 55v8-9). “Whatosever the LORD pleased, that did He in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.” (Psalm 135v6). Even when we do not understand certain situations, and outcomes, know that God cares for you, and He loves you and He is with you through it all. Esther came to the point as well when she said, if I perish, I perish. The Bible tells us that:

Supplementary Text:
“And they have overcame (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].” (Revelations 12v11, AMP).

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word, and Your faithfulness to me. Grant me the courage to be faithful to You always, regardless of the threats around in Jesus name, amen.
