Walking in Love

Hello everybody,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for the body of believers that surround us. However, it is important that we walk in love toward one another. In fact, the Lord said:

Primary Text: John 13v35
“By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13v35 (KJV)

Are you patient with others? And kind to them – even those you do not know? Do you rejoice with others when they are rejoicing, or do you get jealous, yet brag when you are doing well? Love doesn’t get jealous or brag or be boastful! Love is not proud neither is it rude. Love is not self-seeking or selfish, and “does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends…” (1 Corinthians 13v4-8, NCV). Are you walking in love? If you find yourself finding it difficult to do so, remember that you have the Spirit of the Lord on the inside of you, and one of the fruit of the Spirit is love. And we can put to death the deeds of the flesh (which oppose love) by the power of the Spirit (Romans 8v13). Ask Him to help you. Speak the Word and say, I come against this spirit of jealousy, because jealousy is not of the Lord. I ask that the power of Christ rest upon me in this area of weakness (2 Corinthians 12v9), and pray that the Lord will search your heart, and uproot every thing that is not of Him in you. God is faithful and will do it. In writing to the Church in Thessalonica, Paul, Silas and Timothy write: “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:” (1 Thessalonians 3v12).

Supplementary Text:
“You are God’s children whom He loves, so try to be like Him. Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5v1-2 (NCV)

Prayer Point
Father, we thank You so much for this day, and we thank You for Your goodness. We pray Lord that You will make us to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men in Jesus name, amen.
