A Rich Indwelling!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: Colossians 3v16
“Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, ....” Colossians 3v16 (AMP)

We have the Word of God, we have the Bible. What should we do with the word spoken by our Lord? Some may leave it on the shelf, and dust it once in a while; use it as a reference book once in a while; pick it up on Sunday; maybe even use it as a stand. But Colossians 3v16 says we should let the word that Jesus spoke have its home in our hearts and minds, and that it should dwell there in all its richness. So have a rich (not a poor, or scarce) indwelling of the Word. Proverbs 3v1-2 says “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.” Joshua as well was told to “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1v8 (NLT). Its important for us to have the Word of God in us. Christ is the Word, and He is our hope of glory (John 1v1, Colossians 1v27). We also thank God for His Holy Spirit. Jesus said “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14v26). Hallelujah. The Holy Spirit brings back to our remembrance what Jesus has said unto us. Indeed the Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Ephesians 6v17).

Supplementary Text:
“But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].” Psalm 1v2-3 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You so much for Your Word this day. We thank You for the ability of the Word to cause us to grow, to discern thoughts, to teach and instruct us. We thank You for the Holy Spirit here with us to teach us all things and bring to remembrance what the Lord Jesus has said. We give You glory for this in Jesus name, amen.
