Fellowship

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is great and greatly to be praised. We also thank God for the fellowship we can have amongst believers, to share, encourage, exhort, pray with, admonish and grow together. The Bible says:

Primary Text: Colossians 3v16
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” Colossians 3v16 (NIV)

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3v16 (NLT)

Even as we grow in Christ, and let His message fill us, we can continue to teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Hallelujah. I listened to a series of messages about godly friends, and they are those who in a sense point us to believing in God. Proverbs 27v9 says “Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel.” Have you allowed the message of Christ to fill you? Do you take time to learn about Jesus and develop your relationship with Him? Are you able to then encourage, teach and counsel others with the wisdom He gives? Are you a good friend? Let’s look out for each other, even as the Word of God says: “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3v13).

Supplementary Text:
“This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory. So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.” Colossians 1v26-28 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, I want to know you more. Help me to know practically, and through experience, the love of Christ which surpasses mere knowledge. Help me Father to be sensitive to the needs around me, and use me to teach and counsel those around me, even with the wisdom that comes from Christ, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
