Gracious Gifts!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace and His lovingkindness towards us.

Primary Text

“I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts He has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Corinthians 1v4 (NLT)

“I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;” 1 Corinthians 1v4 (KJV)

“I thank my God at all times for you because of the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which was bestowed on you in Christ Jesus,” 1 Corinthians 1v4 (AMP)

Hallelujah. We thank God because when we come to the Lord, He gives us His grace and enriches us with His gracious gifts. First and foremost, apart from the salvation that is freely given to us, He gives us the gift of the Spirit. Ephesians 1v13-14 (MSG) tells us “It’s in Christ that you, once you have heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free  - signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.” Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we receive from God all things that we need for living a godly life:

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You so much for this day. We thank You for the grace You have bestowed upon us and others in Christ Jesus. We thank You so much for the Spirit of the living God who lives in us and is with us, and by which we are sealed. We pray for a fresh anointing from Your Spirit and we pray that we will live lives that glorify You. Once again, we pray for all missionaries, and those who are being persecuted or are in prison because of the Gospel. Father, please provide for them, strengthen them and shield them in Jesus name, amen. God of comfort, please comfort those who are going through tough situations right now, and let Your grace abound toward them. All this we ask knowing that You hear us, in Jesus name, amen.
